Vietnam adds 6,068 Covid-19 cases

The National System of Covid-19 Case Management recorded an additional 6,068 cases in 59 provinces and cities, all of which were domestic infections (4,592 F0 community). Compared to yesterday, the total number of cases decreased by 1,048 cases.

The localities where the number of infections decreased the most compared to the previous day: Dak Lak (-214), Vinh Phuc (-204), Phu Tho (-89). The localities that recorded the highest number of infections compared to the previous day: Gia Lai (+341), Son La (+30), Da Nang (+19). Average number of new infections in the country recorded in the past 7 days: 8,030 cases/day.

Thus, since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 10,644,700 Covid-19 cases, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories. While with the ratio of infections / 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 104 out of 227 countries and territories (with an average of 107,597 infections for every 1 million people). Particularly for the fourth outbreak (from April 27, 2021 to present), the whole country has an additional 10,636,951 cases recorded in the country.

The localities with the highest cumulative number of infections: Hanoi (1,585,297), Ho Chi Minh City (608,337), Nghe An (481,271), Bac Giang (385,156), Binh Duong (383,380).

Regarding the treatment situation, on April 29, the Ministry of Health announced 3,225 Covid-19 patients recovered, bringing the total number of F0 cured patients to 9,245,528 cases, and 1,399,172 F0 being treated. The number of Covid-19 patients who died in a day was 1 case in Bac Kan province.

Up to now, Vietnam has had 43,038 deaths from Covid-19, accounting for 0.4% of the total infections. The average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days is 6 cases. The total number of deaths ranked 24/227 territories, the number of deaths per 1 million people ranked 130/227 countries and territories in the world. Compared with Asia, the total number of deaths ranked 6/49 (3rd in ASEAN), deaths per 1 million people ranked 25/49 Asian countries and territories (ranked 4th in ASEAN).

Regarding the testing situation, the number of tests performed from April 27, 2021 to now is 39,496,313 samples, equivalent to 85,796,776 turns of people, an increase of 873 samples compared to the previous day.

Regarding the vaccination situation, yesterday (April 28) there were 887,474 doses of Covid-19 vaccine injected. Thus, the total number of vaccines administered is 214,532,764 doses, of which:

Number of injections for people aged 18 and over is 195,799,620 doses: 1st dose is 71,456,157 doses; dose 2 is 68,634,352 doses; dose 3 is 1,505,910 doses; the additional dose is 15,303,828 doses; booster dose is 38,899,373 doses.

Number of injections for children from 12-17 years old is 17,367,037 doses: 1st dose is 8,903,471 doses; dose 2 is 8,463,566 doses.

Number of doses for children from 5-11 years old is 1,366,107 doses (1st dose).
