Currently, Vietnam Social Security is receiving documents to handle sickness benefits for people with Covid-19 in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 56/2017/TT-BYT dated December 29, 2017 of the Ministry of Health.

Regarding solving problems in the application for social insurance benefits for employees with Covid-19 who are treated at home, on March 2, the Ministry of Health submitted a report to the Prime Minister No. 279/TTr-BYT on the settlement. issue certificates of leave to enjoy social insurance for employees who have Covid-19 and are being considered and handled by competent authorities.

719/BHXH/CSXH dated March 23, directing the directors of local social insurance agencies to arrange human resources, prepare all conditions for funding, reform administrative procedures, apply information technology to receive, timely, accurately and fully settle benefits for employees infected with Covid-19 who have complete dossiers as prescribed in Clauses 1 and 2, Article 100 of the Law on Social Insurance 2014; Clauses 1 and 2, Article 21 of Circular No. 56/2017/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health.

In the near future, when the competent authorities issue new regulations on dossiers as a basis for settling sickness benefits for employees infected with Covid-19, the social insurance agency will immediately organize the receipt and release of documents. decide the sickness regime for employees according to this new regulation.
