According to information from the dealer, the upgraded BMW X4 facelift (LCI) is about to be imported to Vietnam. Currently, the old version has been sold out to make way for the new version.
The upgraded BMW X4 facelift is about to return to Vietnam.
X4 is like a coupe-style variant of X3 because of many similarities, from the chassis system to the main equipment. The distinctive feature that distinguishes the X4 from the X3 is the coupe-style sloping roofline.
In this upgrade, the BMW X4 will have a little change in appearance, including new front / rear lights, larger grille and redesigned front / rear bumpers. The imported version here will be equipped with the sporty M Sport bodykit package. The rims will be a 19-inch double-spoke 5-spoke design M type. In particular, X4 2022 will have laser lights instead of the previous adaptive LED type.
The facelift version has a more angular M Sport bodykit.
In the interior, the biggest change on the new X4 is a 12.3-inch touchscreen entertainment center screen (previously 10.25 inches) that supports wireless Apple CarPlay. Equipped with the M Sport package, the steering wheel will also be a sport type of M. More specific equipment of this model has not been disclosed.
The biggest change inside will be the central display.
The engine of the car does not seem to have changed. The xDrive20i M Sport version uses a 2-liter engine, 184 horsepower capacity, 300 Nm torque, combined with 8-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive system. The M Sport package offers adaptive sport suspension and high-performance brakes.
In the old version, the X4 cost more than 3 billion VND, applied to the xDrive20i M Sport version. The price of the 2022 upgrade has not been disclosed.
BMW X4 does not have too many competitors in Vietnam. The model that competes directly is the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. The only imported version of GLC Coupe is the GLC 300 4Matic Coupe, priced at more than 3 billion. Another competitor is the Audi Q5 Sportback, which costs more than 2.6 billion VND.
In addition to the X4, the “brother” SUV model, the X3, is also revealed by the dealer to be updated with the facelift (LCI) version in the near future and may be a car assembled right in Vietnam. Another BMW model that is also said to be locally assembled is the 3-Series. This information has not been confirmed by THACO.
