Dubbed ‘Cloaking‘, the new cheat restriction technique not only renders regular players ‘invisible’, but also renders bullets and sounds from honest players undetectable.
Previously, Activision introduced an anti-cheat technique called Damage Shield, which could disable a cheater’s ability to damage other players if the server detected dishonest behavior.
This week, Activision also said it had rolled out a new round of bans targeting 54,000 accounts suspected of fraud. The company last banned more than 90,000 accounts in mid-March.
