The largest whiskey bottle with a capacity of 373 liters has just set a Guinness record and will soon be auctioned in Scotland.
Intrepid, a 32-year-old whiskey bottle 180 cm tall, with a capacity of 373 liters of The Macallan Distillery stuns for setting a world record.

By volume or height, this huge bottle is also recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest whiskey bottle.
In September 2021, renowned bottler Duncan Taylor Scotch Whiskey combined two American oak casks filled with whiskey distilled by Macallan in 1989 to create The Intrepid. It took them an hour to refill the bottles.
The wine is made from pale yellow malt, with light aromas of toasted apple, pear and almond, sweet and warm.

Once the process is complete, the whiskey is poured into giant bottles with special stickers featuring photos of some of the world’s most famous explorers such as Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Karen Darke MBE and Olly Hicks.
The giant bottle can hold the equivalent of 444 full-size whiskey bottles. The previous record belonged to the 83-liter bottle of Scotch The Famous Grouse brand.
It is expected that the giant bottle of wine will be auctioned on May 25. The auction house says the bottle could set a new world record for the most expensive whiskey bottle. It is estimated to cost up to 1.9 million USD. The record currently belongs to a bottle of Macallan priced at $1.5 million, sold in 2018.
