Thailand continues to remove more regulations on COVID-19 prevention since May

According to a recent announcement by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, from May 1, visitors to this country will not need to be tested before their trip regardless of vaccination status. While the COVID-19 vaccine group is allowed to travel freely without any restrictions, the unvaccinated group will still be subject to a number of other regulations.

Unvaccinated travelers who do not have a negative COVID-19 test result will be required to stay for a minimum of 5 days in an approved hotel and undergo PCR testing on day 5 of the trip. However, this target group can choose to have a PCR test within 72 hours of arrival to receive the same benefits as the fully vaccinated group.

It is known that all visitors to Thailand still need to register for the “Thailand Pass” program and have an insurance policy with a minimum of 10,000 USD.
