Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has 10,649,809 infections, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories. Today, 16,727 Covid-19 cases were announced to be cured, bringing the total number of cured cases to 9,262,255 people. The number of patients on oxygen is 475 cases, of which 2 require ECMO (cardiopulmonary bypass).

From 17:30 on April 29 to 17:30 on April 30, 3 deaths were recorded in: Binh Thuan (2), Kien Giang (1). Average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days: 5 cases/day.

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Vietnam so far is 43,041 cases, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

The total number of deaths ranked 24/227 territories, the number of deaths per 1 million people ranked 130/227 countries and territories in the world. Compared with Asia, the total number of deaths ranked 6/49 (3rd in ASEAN), deaths per 1 million people ranked 25/49 Asian countries and territories (ranked 4th in ASEAN).

From April 27, 2021 to now, 39,497,204 samples have been tested, equivalent to 85,798,077 turns of people, an increase of 891 samples compared to the previous day.

On April 29, 241,434 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered. Thus, the total number of vaccine doses administered is 214,774,198 doses, of which:

+ The number of injection doses for people aged 18 years and over is 195,944,846 doses: 1st dose is 71,457,483 doses; The second dose is 68.638,476 doses; The third dose is 1,505,935 doses; The additional dose is 15,305,712 doses; The booster dose is 39,037,240 doses.

+ Number of injections for children aged 12-17 is 17,372,711 doses: 1st dose is 8,906,086 doses; The second dose is 8,466,625 doses.

+ The number of doses for children from 5-11 years old is 1,456,641 doses (1st dose).
