According to the sheet Telegraph, British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons said she returned to Kiev on April 29. “It’s been a long way but worth it. Good to be back in Kiev again,” Simmons wrote on Twitter.

In mid-February, the London government announced that British embassy staff had left Kiev to temporarily move to the city of Lviv, a few days before Russia launched a special military operation into Ukraine.

On the same day, according to Radio CNBCthe Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Dutch ambassador to Ukraine Jennes de Mol had returned to Kiev with a small group of embassy staff.

“Diplomatic missions in Kiev are of great value in maintaining contact with the Government of Ukraine. Embassies of other countries in the European Union (EU) are also returning,” the Ha Noi Foreign Ministry said. Lan said.

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs also added that Dutch citizens should not travel to Ukraine.

The UK and the Netherlands are the latest countries to reopen their embassies in the capital Kiev, following France, Italy, Turkey, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Belgium and Austria.

The EU has also resumed its diplomatic mission in the capital Kiev, while the US is bringing its diplomats back to the city of Lviv, Ukraine. The US also issued a warning to its citizens not to travel to Ukraine at this time.
