Vietnam futsal team goes to Thailand to train towards SEA Games 31
This afternoon (April 29), Vietnamese futsal finished the domestic training period and left for Thailand to continue training in preparation for the 31st SEA Games. The Vietnamese futsal team was present at Tan Son airport. At 3pm to carry out procedures and take off at 5pm.
During the training tour in Thailand, coach Pham Minh Giang brought 19 players. The two names eliminated are goalkeeper Nguyen Hoang Anh and fixo Nguyen Hoang Anh Vu, respectively. Most of the players who left with the Binh Thuan-born strategist had fought with him at the recent World Cup futsal finals.
During 10 days of practice at Thai Son Nam Gymnasium (HCMC), the Vietnamese futsal team focused on improving the team’s finishing and fitness. These are the two weaknesses of coach Minh Giang’s students revealed at the 2022 Southeast Asian futsal tournament.

In your country, the Vietnamese futsal team will have 3 practice matches with 3 strong clubs: Thai Port (April 30), Thammasat (May 2) and Navy (May 4). On May 5, teacher and coach Pham Minh Giang will finish their training tour in Thailand and return home. The Vietnamese futsal team will move directly to Ha Nam – the venue for the 31st SEA Games futsal event. On May 8, coach Pham Minh Giang will finalize the list of 16 players remaining to enter the tournament.
In SEA Game 31, futsal will compete in a round-robin with a group of 5 teams from Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar. Both men’s and women’s futsal will compete in 11 days from May 10 to May 20 at the National Stadium of Ha Nam province.
