Which sport in Vietnam is expected to win the most gold medals at the 31st SEA Games?

SEA Games 31 is the second time Vietnam is hosting a Southeast Asian Games after 19 years. Vietnamese sports strive to win the top position at the 31st SEA Games.

Last night, April 28, the group Sport Vietnam held a ceremony to attend the 31st SEA Games at the square of the National Sports Training Center 1, Hanoi. The goal of Vietnamese sports at the home games is to win over 140 gold medals to be at the top of the 31st SEA Games.

The sports also have expected gold medal targets to contribute to the success of the Vietnam Sports Delegation. Accordingly, the athletics department sets the target to win 15-17 gold medals. Vietnamese athletics also strives for the highest position in Southeast Asia.

This is understandable because athletics has many competitions and is an Olympic sport, so it has always been interested in investment in recent years. However, this target may be affected because of the absence of Le Tu Chinh, the reigning SEA Games champion in the women’s 100m content.

The Vietnamese sports delegation attended the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Vietnam with 1,341 members, including 64 officials, 1,277 athletes and coaches. The Vietnamese track and field team has a total of 64 athletes, which is also the subject with the most athletes of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 31st SEA Games. Right behind is the e-sports team with 61 athletes.

SEA Games 31 officially kicks off from May 12 to May 23 in Hanoi and neighboring localities, including: Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and Bac Giang.
