Artist Tien Minh made the movie ‘Fish Prince’

The film belongs to the comedy-romantic genre, containing fantasy elements. The script revolves around the character of a fish prince, pampered from a young age, so his rebellious nature, often annoys his father – Long Vuong. One day, the fish prince committed a serious crime, was banished to the surface, had to complete a mission to return to the dragon palace. The boy has to integrate into human life, from which many funny situations take place.

Making a movie for the first time, Tien Minh closely followed the script with screenwriter Khanh Ha. The artist arranges his work schedule at the Hanoi Drama Theater, putting aside many musical projects to devote himself to the project. “Budget is also a big concern for me. The crew determined to invest a lot in order to make the image as pleasing to the eye as possible. After the epidemic, we had difficulty in calling for funding,” the director said.

Tien Minh intends to direct the work to the musical film genre, thus recruiting actors who can sing and dance. On April 28, he held a casting session in Hanoi, with the participation of many colleagues such as Trung Hieu, actors Hong Dang, Thanh Huong, Thien Tung… Sy Hung – used to play The taste of friendship – is a leading candidate for the main role. The work is expected to start shooting in June and hit theaters at the end of the year.

Artist Phung Tien Minh was born in 1977, graduated from the Department of Drama, Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema. He has worked at the Hanoi Drama Theater since 1999. Over 20 years, he has participated in hundreds of roles and won 10 awards at professional theater festivals nationwide. In 2019, he was awarded the title of Distinguished Artist. In addition to acting, he composed more than 40 soundtrack songs, including many hits like Where love begins, Through the darkness, The last ray of sunshine…
