Amendment of regulations on standards for textbook editors

Circular 05/2022/TT-BGDĐT amending Regulations on standards of organizations and individuals compiling textbooks (SGK) promulgated together with Circular 33/2017/TT-BGDĐT takes effect from 5/5/ 2022.

Accordingly, a textbook compiler must meet the following criteria: Having a university degree or higher in a major relevant to subjects and educational activities with compiled textbooks; Knowledge of educational science; Having at least three years of directly teaching or doing research on expertise relevant to subjects and educational activities with compiled textbooks; Being a Vietnamese citizen with good moral qualities and ideals.

The maximum time to complete high school and college is not more than 4.5 years

From May 15, 2022, Circular 04/2022/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs stipulates the organization of training at intermediate and college degrees according to the year or credit system. will only officially take effect.

Accordingly, the maximum time for learners to complete the training program at the intermediate or college level will be decided by the principal, but must ensure: not exceeding 1.5 times the training time for the program from 2 to 3 years of study; no more than twice the training time for a program from one to less than two years of study. Thus, the maximum duration of intermediate and college education is only 4.5 years for 3-year training programs.

While at present, Circular No. 09/2017/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates that the maximum time should not exceed 2 times the design time for the program from 2 to 3 academic years, and not exceed 3 times the design time for the program. program from one to less than 2 years of study.

Students majoring in Mathematics are granted a scholarship of 2.4 million VND/month

The Ministry of Finance has just issued Circular No. 22/2022/TT-BTC guiding the management and use of recurrent expenditures for the implementation of the National Key Program for Mathematical Development in the 2021-2030 period.

Accordingly, in Clause 2, Article 6 of the Circular, students majoring in Mathematics will be considered for scholarships according to the criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training to attract and improve the quality of students. The scholarship level is equal to the current school year’s tuition fee ceiling for Mathematics majors at higher education institutions specified at Point b, Clause 1, Article 11 of Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP.

Accordingly, students majoring in Mathematics can be granted a scholarship of 2.4 million VND/month; granted by each semester and 10 months in the school year.

The Circular also stipulates a number of expenditures on talent training and improving the quality of human resources in the field of Mathematics such as: Expenses for training and fostering for students, pedagogical students of Mathematics, core Mathematics teachers, high school teachers specializing in Mathematics; organize refresher courses for pupils and students; fostering teachers of Mathematics at higher education and vocational education institutions; to provide financial support for PhD students to attend international conferences and seminars and to do short-term internships abroad in the fields of Applied Mathematics and Industrial Mathematics…

The Ministry of Education and Training promulgates Circular 11/2021/TT-BGDĐT and Circular 12/2021/TT-BGDDT on the pedagogical training program for bachelors of relevant majors who want to become teachers at all levels.

For primary school: According to Circular 11/2021/TT-BGDĐT, holders of bachelor’s degrees majoring in Music, Fine Arts, Informatics, Technology, Physical Education, and Foreign Languages ​​wish to become teachers. elementary schools are allowed to participate in primary school pedagogical training. The program volume consists of 35 credits, of which, the compulsory part has 31 credits (TC) and the elective part has 04 credits.

For middle and high school levels: According to Circular 12/2021/TT-BGDĐT, holders of a bachelor’s degree in a major relevant to one of the subjects at the lower secondary and high school levels who wish to become junior and high school teachers are eligible to participate. professional training in pedagogy in middle and high schools. The duration of the pedagogical training program includes: The general course has 17 credits and the branch course has 17 secondary schools, 17 high schools.

Circular 11/2021/TT-BGDĐT and Circular 12/2021/TT-BGDDT take effect from May 22, 2021.
