According to registered dietitian Signe Svanfeldt (Sweden), there are some frozen foods you should leave out of your shopping order.

“There are so many great food options out there that are packed with nutrients and fiber, including frozen whole grain breads, vegetables, fruit and berries,” explains Svanfeldt.

“There are also some frozen foods that are quite low in nutrients but high in sodium, saturated fat and added sugar. We should limit these items. Science has shown that eating a lot of these foods can increase your risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and obesity.”

Pizza

Many frozen pizzas have a thicker crust and are often topped with processed meat. These ingredients contain a lot of sodium and saturated fat, which can easily lead to cardiovascular diseases and obesity.

Cake

This is a delicious breakfast dish and pairs perfectly with a cup of tea or coffee. But cakes are often high in saturated fat.

Fried food
