Gas prices fell sharply
From 7:30 a.m. today, gas brands City Petro, Vimexco Gas, Pacific and Esgas reduced by 2,583 VND/liter (VAT included). Accordingly, a 6kg gas tank reduced by 15,000 VND, a 12kg tank reduced by 31,000 VND, a 12.5kg bottle decreased by 32,000 VND, a 45kg bottle decreased by 116,000 VND, and a 5kg bottle decreased by 129,000 VND.
After the reduction, the retail price of gas to consumers will not exceed 282,000 VND/6kg bottle; 507,500 VND / 12kg bottle, 542,500 VND / 12kg VIP plastic bottle; 1,902 million VND/45kg bottle; 2,114 million VND/50kg bottle.
Similar to the retail gas price of Petrolimex Saigon Gas Company, Total Gas also decreased by 31,000 VND / 12kg bottle.
Gas trading companies said that the reason for the decrease in gas prices in May was that the world supplier announced the average fuel price reached 855 USD per ton, down 95 USD compared to the previous month.
Thus, after 3 months, gas prices have increased in the first adjustment period of the month, this essential item has turned down, which is good news for housewives who changed gas in May.
Last year, gas prices also increased continuously, but many gas companies faced difficulties in business due to reduced output.
Currently, the domestic gas price depends on world developments because domestic supply accounts for about 60% of consumption. The weather warms up in the summer, causing the demand for fuel and gas in many areas of the world to decrease, helping the world gas price to cool down.
