Before wrapping up the official visit to Vietnam in two days April 30 and May 1, Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio paid a courtesy visit to the General Secretary. Nguyen Phu Trong.

During the meeting, the General Secretary affirmed that the prospect of developing the relationship between Vietnam and Japan in the coming time will be very favorable. The General Secretary also hoped that Prime Minister Kishida Fumio would strengthen and further develop the relationship between Vietnam and Japan.

Sharing at the meeting, Prime Minister Kishida Fumio felt honored to meet General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Prime Minister Kishida Fumio also said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the people of Japan and Vietnam have supported each other to overcome the pandemic. It is a testament to the strengthening of the friendship between the two countries.

“Next year will be an important milestone marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam. I hope to work with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to further develop the extensive strategic relationship between Japan and Japan. and Vietnam. According to Kyodo News Agency, the visit to Vietnam is within the framework of the Japanese Prime Minister’s plan to visit Southeast Asian countries and Europe during the holiday week, starting from April 28 to May 6. Mr. Kishida is expected to visit Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Italy and the UK.

During two working days in Vietnam, Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio had talks with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, paid a courtesy visit to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and met with the President. National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue.

After politely greeting Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Kishida Fumio went to Noi Bai airport, successfully ending his two-day official visit to Vietnam.
