She bent over and regulated her breathing while the crowd cheered and encouraged. Emma McBride, the campaign representative, told FOX9: “We have prepared a substitution plan if she is not strong enough. But she’s super strong and she just pauses to get through the contraction and then goes back to her speech.”

However, in the Q&A session right after the speech, Maye Quade had to rush to the hospital to give birth. Her campaign was then withdrawn. Maye Quade’s opponent, Justin Emmerich, continues to win the remaining rounds, firmly for the primaries on August 9.

At 2:20 a.m. on April 24, Maye Quade gave birth to daughter Harriet Blake Maye Quade, approximately 24 hours after labor began. Before the conference, Maye Quade’s doctor advised her to rest, but she still had too much work to deal with.

McBride says: “It wasn’t possible when she had to knock on doors and talk to delegates, attend many events in the very crucial days of the election. I think she was very focused on the job. and understood what she had to go through over the past several months to get to where she is today. She was willing to do anything at that time to appear in front of the conference for as long as possible.”

While many were surprised by Maye Quade’s ability to endure contractions, some considered the situation very unfair to the female politician and wondered why the conference was not postponed when Maye Quade went into labor. They questioned why the conference was allowed to continue when the female candidate had to leave.

How long does labor last?
