Newly opened for sale, nearly 200 Toyota Raize cars in Vietnam are in danger of collapsing and have to be recalled

Not only that, customers who buy the first Toyota Raize are facing many unsafety risks when using them.

Toyota Raize is in danger of collapsing

According to the latest announcement from the Vietnam Register, there will be nearly 200 Toyota Raize cars imported and distributed by Toyota Vietnam that will have to be recalled due to unsafety risks. Specifically, the cause of this recall campaign is to repair the front shock absorber mounting joint.

Specifically, there will be a total of 191 Toyota Raize vehicles in the recall, all manufactured in 2021 at the factory in Indonesia between April 29, 2021 and October 8, 2021. Earlier, Toyota Indonesia issued a notice to recall 14,777 Raize vehicles for the same error. In the land of thousands of islands, there was a case where the Toyota Raize collapsed, so the risk for cars sold in Vietnam is very high.

According to the Vietnam Register, the weld on the 2 front shock absorbers can come off when the wheel is subjected to a strong impact, such as through a speed bump. With this problem, in the process of using Toyota Raize, customers may hear abnormal noises in the above area. In the worst case, the Toyota Raize may collapse, causing loss of vehicle control leading to unexpected accidents.

It is known that customers bring Toyota Raize to an authorized Toyota Vietnam dealer to check with the time to fix this error given by Toyota Vietnam, ranging from 7.6-24.1 hours. With the above time, the customer will have to leave the car in the repair area for about a day.

In Vietnam, Toyota Raize had quite good sales at the end of the first quarter of 2022, the total number of cars sold was 1,671 units, higher than Kia Sonet with 1,651 units. It is known that from May 2022, Toyota Raize will simultaneously increase by 20 million VND from 527 to 547 million VND.
