According to Mr. Bui Van Loi’s family: the deer for this year’s ‘lucky’ season is the 4th time; the first cut (the first time is not counted as velvet) has a weight of 5.8 taels, and the first time is 1.23 kg; the second time is 1.72kg; The third time is 2.8kg and this time the velvet pair weighs up to 4,766kg.

Particularly for this “terrible” deer, someone in Quynh Luu district (Nghe An) bid up to 470 million VND, but the family decided not to sell.

It is known that this deer was bought by Mr. Loi’s family 5 years ago from a local for 20 million VND. The deer belongs to the line of velvet deer, smooth red color. In the first year after buying and raising, the deer gave a pair of velvet buds weighing 1.7 kg, with 12 very beautiful branches.

The pair of velvet was bought by Vietnamese deer farm and Nhat Thuan deer farm for over 83 million VND

Up to now, this is the second heaviest pair of deer antler buds in the “capital” of deer breeding in Huong Son district.

Before that, in 2020, Mr. Tran Trung Thai’s family (in Son Chau commune, Huong Son district) harvested a pair of deer velvet buds weighing more than 4.8kg. Usually, each pair of large deer velvet in Huong Son district when harvested weighs from 2.3 to nearly 3 kg.
