USB Restricted Mode, is a feature that prevents iPhone from connecting to USB accessories plugged into the charging port if the device has not been unlocked for more than an hour. This prevents bad guys from plugging in strange devices to try to break the lock or steal data.

To disable Control Center and USB accessories when the phone locks the screen, scroll to Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Enter Password > Scroll down to Allow Access When Locked > Disable Control Center and USB Accessories.

Enable data deletion after 10 incorrect password attempts

When the Erase data feature is enabled, iPhone will erase all data on the phone if the wrong password is entered 10 times, which means thieves won’t be able to steal any data inside. However, you should be careful when setting up this feature, as sometimes you may forget your password or your child may play with the device without your knowledge.

To avoid unnecessary risks, before activating the Erase data feature, you should use the iCloud Backup feature (backup every 24 hours), so that the deleted data can be restored later. .

First, turn on iCloud backup. Go Settings>Tap account name>Select iCloud>iCloud Backup>Turn on iCloud Backup.

Next, go to Settings>Face ID & Passcode>Enter Password>Scroll down and select enable Clear data.

Turn on Find My iPhone, Find My Network, and Send Last Location

Find My iPhone allows you to remotely track and lock your iPhone if it is lost or stolen.

Find My network allows you to track your phone even when it is offline or powered off.

Send Last Location is a feature that automatically sends Apple’s iCloud servers the location of your iPhone when it’s low on battery.

These features increase the likelihood of a device being traced even if the thief powers off the phone, so it’s best to leave them on.

Go Settings>Tap account name>Find>Enable all three features.
