Boeing plane landed, 40 people injured

Sputnik quoted a SpiceJet spokesman as saying that on May 1, a Boeing B737 bearing number SG-945 traveling from Mumbai to Durgapur city encountered adverse conditions during landing at Kazi Nazrul Islam airport. due to bad weather. As a result, 40 passengers and crew members were injured.

The exact number of people injured has yet to be confirmed, but Indian news agencies say at least 10 people were seriously injured. The remaining passengers are said to have been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment.

On May 2, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of India (DGCA) announced the opening of an investigation according to regulations. The DGCA says some people suffered head injuries and required stitches. One passenger admitted to having a spinal injury.

According to a SpiceJet spokesman, the passengers received medical assistance as soon as they arrived in Durgapur city. “There were three strong vibrations. It was more intense than what happens in the car,” – a passenger with a bandaged head said.
