Before that, at about 5:40 pm on April 3, a 7-seat car BKS 43A 50582 driven by driver Luong Duy Tan ran on the collection road of Dien Bien Phu underpass (Chinh Gian ward, Thanh Khe district) in the direction from Hai Chau district. to Lien Chieu district.

When approaching the intersection with Le Do Street, the car hit the rear of a 16-seat car running in the same direction. Not stopping, the car continued to run at a fast speed, rushing straight into Dong Thanh bakery (no. 60A Dien Bien Phu street). The accident left 6 people injured and taken to the hospital, including 2 children.

Through investigation, Thanh Khe District Police determined that at the time of the accident, this person had been using alcohol and was positive for drugs.

At the investigation agency, driver Tan said that before the accident, he was drinking with 3 friends at a pub on Duy Tan Street. The whole group drank from 11:30 to 17:30, after running out of about 4 cases of beer, they left.

After that, defendant Tan drove a car with a friend to Dien Bien Phu Street, crashed into the rear of the 16-seat car and lost the brake and rushed into the bakery.

The male driver said that at this time he was drunk and was no longer awake because he had drunk too much. Regarding drug positivity, this person said that last week, when he went to his birthday party in Hoi An (Quang Nam), he used ecstasy.
