Immediately after giving the child fever-reducing medicine, parents need to cool the child. Specifically, wipe cool with warm water in the neck, armpit, groin area. These are areas with many blood vessels, when wiping, the fever will decrease quickly. The most need is the perseverance of the parents, because when the child cools down for half an hour, it will reduce about 1 degree Celsius.

In particular, the fever caused by the vaccine usually lasts no more than 48 hours. Therefore, parents should note that, if their child has a fever of 39-40 degrees or more and lasts for more than 48 hours, they need to take the child to the doctor, because it is possible that the child accidentally has another disease before vaccination. , such as dengue fever.

For children, Dr. Nhan also recommends: “Paracetamol should be used at a dose of 10-15mg/kg body weight/time and repeated every 6 hours. In case of prolonged fever, it should be repeated after 4 hours. I need to limit the use of Ibuprofen and absolutely do not use Aspirin, because these drugs can cause harm to the children.”
