Some motorbikes were pushed to the curb by the strong current, staggered, and fell. Local people voluntarily waded out in the middle of the road to guide the cars to the safe side and help the elderly, women and children through the dangerous passage.

Mr. Nguyen Tu Tuan, Deputy Office of Traffic Safety Committee of Binh Thuan province, said that he and officials of Road Administration Department IV went to the flooded area to understand the situation. In the immediate future, the locality will arrange a standing force to guide people back and forth to avoid being swept away by water.

“If the water rises higher, we will ask the traffic police to separate the lanes and guide vehicles to cross other roads to avoid danger,” Tuan said.

Accordingly, the car from Lam Dong and Ham Thuan Bac district to Phan Thiet, when arriving in Ham Chinh commune, will turn left to National Highway 1 at Ham Thang intersection to return to Phan Thiet. In the opposite direction, the car will go through the branch roads on National Highway 1 from Ham Thang intersection or Ham Duc intersection to National Highway 28 in Ham Chinh commune or Ma Lam town.
