After 56 years, the monument area deteriorated, especially at the foot with peeling and blackened walls; many ground positions have been cracked… In 2019, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City agreed to repair and embellish this work at the proposal of the Department of Culture and Sports.
Nguyen Tri Phuong junction was formerly named Minh Mang, because Ngo Gia Tu street before 1975 bore the name of this king. This is a large roundabout, connecting many main traffic axes between districts 5 and 10, so there are many cars passing every day. In the period 2018-2020, Ho Chi Minh City has a plan to build a steel overpass here but has not yet implemented it.
