Korean rapper apologizes, admits to sexually harassing 9-year-old boy

May 1st, Allkpop reported, in a group chat of about 60 fans, rapper Osshun Gum (real name Choi Ha Min) shared that he had appeared in court for allegations of child molestation. In court, the male rapper admitted to harassing a 9-year-old boy. He apologized for “causing harm to the victim and family” with the reason that he was “unwell”.

Osshun Gum said he performed the behavior in an unstable mental state, unable to control himself. The 23-year-old male rapper added, he will continue to “treat” so that this incident “does not happen again”.

At the previous trial, Osshun Gum’s personal lawyer said that he faced both mentally and physically unstable conditions. The male rapper was once hospitalized due to poor health.

In 2021, Osshun Gum was arrested and prosecuted after molesting a 9-year-old boy. Specifically, he took a taxi to Haeundae (Busan city) and touched the victim’s body here. This boy reported to the police as soon as Osshun Gum touched his buttocks.

In court, rapper 9X said he did not intentionally harass the boy. Osshun Gum was diagnosed with a severe mental disorder, was hospitalized for treatment 70 times. Also due to illness, he has many eccentric behaviors such as lying on the street and taking off all his clothes.

According to Osshun Gum’s confession, he randomly took a taxi to Haeundae district, a place he did not know and committed a crime.

Osshun Gum’s name is known for participating in the hit show “High School Rapper” of Mnet TV. The once talented rookie was appreciated by rapper Swings for his ability and signed a contract with the Just Music music label.

He released a number of songs in 2019 but did not create much buzz, his music career went downhill. In January 2021, the male artist left the management company Just Music, moving to independent activities.
