Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Hien – Head of the Social Insurance Policy Implementation Department (Vietnam Social Insurance) said that the number of people receiving sick benefits in the first quarter of 2022 increased by 124%, the amount of payment increased by nearly 300% compared to the previous quarter. for the same period in 2021; the average benefit per person who is sick due to Covid-19 is more than 1.5 million dong; the average benefit period is 8.5 days.
Currently, Vietnam Social Security is receiving documents to handle sickness benefits for people with Covid-19 in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 56/2017/TT-BYT dated December 29, 2017 of the Ministry of Health.
