President Joe Biden reminds him of his predecessor Donald Trump

The White House Correspondents’ Association dinner included Mr. Biden for the first time as president in six years, accepting an invitation to attend. Former President Donald Trump avoided attending the event while in office.

President Joe Biden joked to the 2,600 attendees, including journalists, government officials and celebrities: “Imagine if my predecessor came to dinner this year, it would be a real one. coup”.

President Biden took the opportunity to test his sense of humour, referring to the criticism he faced during his 15 months in office when he targeted his predecessor, the Republican Party and members of the press.

Mr. Biden humorously told many members of the press: “I’m really happy to be here tonight with the only group of Americans whose approval rating is lower than mine. Republicans. seems to support someone, someone named Brandon. He’s having a really good year. I’m happy for him.”

Mr. Biden also poked fun at Fox News: “I know there’s a lot of questions about whether we should gather here tonight because of the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic. Biden then came to a sobering conclusion: “With the mass proliferation of misinformation, where the truth is buried by lies and lies exist as the truth. One thing is clear, I want to say this from the bottom of my heart, that your freedom of the press is more important than what you did in the last century.”
