Quang Tri kicks off VSIP Industrial Park project worth 2,000 billion VND
On April 30, Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee coordinated with Quang Tri Development Joint Venture Company Limited (QTIP) to organize the kick-off ceremony of the Quang Tri Industrial Park project. Attending the ceremony were State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and leaders of central and local ministries, departments and agencies.
Quang Tri Industrial Park project with a scale of nearly 500 hectares is implemented in Dien Sanh town, Hai Truong and Hai Lam communes (Hai Lang district) with a total investment of 2,074 billion VND. Phase 1 will be deployed on an area of nearly 100 hectares with an investment of more than 500 billion VND, the implementation schedule is from 2021 to 2025. The project is invested by a joint venture of investors including: Joint Venture Company Limited Industrial Park. Vietnam – Singapore Industry (“VSIP JV”), Amata Bien Hoa Urban Joint Stock Company (under Thailand’s Amata Group) and Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Hung said that the Resolution of the 17th Quang Tri Provincial Party Congress, for the 2020-2025 term has set a goal to strive to 2025, Quang Tri will become a become a province with a development level in the middle and high group and in the group of good provinces in the whole country by 2030. Therefore, Quang Tri province has been focusing all its efforts on promoting investment attraction and implementing key programs and projects, breakthrough solutions and key tasks.
Mr. Hung believes that the project will become a bright spot, create more poles of economic growth, activate the industrial real estate market, create an important foundation and driving force to attract investment not only in the area. Quang Tri industrial zone but also the Southeast economic zone of the province.
Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee also added that the provincial government is committed to continuing to accompany and support investors to complete the necessary tasks so that the project can start construction in the fourth quarter of 2022.
VSIP Quang Tri Industrial Park Project is expected to promote socio-economic development in Quang Tri province as a future economic center along the East-West Economic Corridor linking Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar. The project is promoted by the Government of Vietnam to promote the economic development of Quang Tri Province as a future economic center along the East-West Economic Corridor.
