Planning a trekking trip of mother and daughter, I chose K50 waterfall with gentle terrain for Mia to try. K50 waterfall is located in Kon Chu Rang nature reserve (Binh Dinh hamlet, Son Lang commune, K’Bang district, Gia Lai province), crossing the border between Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces. The trip lasted 2 days and 1 night.

In order to reduce the pressure on the little girl, as well as spend more time relaxing and playing with her, I asked the car to drive near the foot of the waterfall, then started a 2km trekking in the forest for my daughter.

With flat terrain, a 4-year-old baby walks up and down slopes, wades streams, and steps on his own. I only watched him when he passed through the rocky areas with slippery moss. When climbing a dangerous rocky slope, the mother carries the baby on her back and continues the journey.

With the journey when I have a baby with me, I carefully prepare items for my child, especially mosquito repellent, sunscreen, vitamin C and antipyretic in case. Preparing delicious food in advance to have a small party in the forest is also an interesting thing that children love.

K50 waterfall has a height of more than 50m and is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Central Highlands. In particular, the period from January to June is the most beautiful time of the year to conquer K50 waterfall because the weather is dry, less rainy and the air in the forest is also cooler.

After the forest journey to try for the little girl, both mother and daughter rewarded themselves with a really chill time by the K50 waterfall. It is known that the waterfall is also known as Hang En, derived from the terrain behind the waterfall is a large stone cave – the shelter of thousands of forest swallows.

The cool steam from the waterfall creates a pleasant and refreshing atmosphere. At the foot of the waterfall, there are stone blocks with many interesting shapes, stacked to form unique stairs.

Besides trekking activities, children when coming to K50 waterfall can enjoy swimming or learn about nature with diverse trees in the forest. In the condition that the prolonged Covid-19 epidemic has narrowed the children’s playground, trekking trips to nature will help your baby have more opportunities to develop physically and mentally.

Although she is only 4 years old, Mia is often allowed to go out by her mother and travel with the whole family. Up to now, the baby has set foot in 20 provinces and is also very active in outdoor activities.

With pristine and wild beauty, K50 waterfall will be the right choice for the coming summer. Not only challenging the spirit of backpackers, the nature here and the available services will be an interesting choice for the whole family.
