The first time to organize the Hmong Khen Festival

In Huoi Chat village, Nam Manh commune, the People’s Committee of Nam Nhon district, Lai Chau province, for the first time held the Mong Khen Festival. The event aims to preserve, preserve and promote the cultural identity of the Mong people.

The Mong Khen Festival is an opportunity for units to study, exchange experiences, exchange culture, arts and sports; introduce lyrical imbued with the cultural identity of the Mong ethnic group to tourists inside and outside the province.

Coming to the festival, visitors will enjoy ancient Khen dances, combined with folk songs and dances. Moreover, visitors will be able to directly watch and participate in the folk games at the festival.

The Mong Khen Festival has 8 delegations with nearly 200 artisans, actors and athletes. The delegations competed in the following contents: Performance of the Hmong Khen, costumes and competitions in sports and folk games, recreating the cultural life of the Mong ethnic people living in the area. After 2 days of exciting competition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes for the performances of Hmong Khen, costumes and folk sports and games.
