The woman escaped death after 7 days of falling into the deep Yen Tu

According to information from the Yen Tu National Forest and Monuments Management Board, the unit has just coordinated with the temple and other units and individuals to organize the search and rescue of a woman who fell into the abyss in the area. Dong Pagoda, Yen Tu at about 9:15 am this morning (May 3).

Victims identified as Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bich Lien (SN 1963) in My Dinh, Tu Liem, Hanoi.

Before that, on April 27, Ms. Lien went to Yen Tu pagoda alone and unfortunately fell and fell into a abyss about 30 meters deep in the area above.

After being rescued from the abyss, Ms. Lien said that on April 27, she went to Quang Ninh and went to worship Buddha at Dong Pagoda. However, after going down for a while after the ceremony, Ms. Lien felt that she was a bit tired, so she sat down to rest in an area near the railing of the Dong pagoda.

The victim recounted the rare incident after being rescued.

According to Ms. Lien, after resting for a while, Ms. Lien got up to continue, but her blood pressure dropped, she was stunned and fell to the area below about 30 m; Fortunately, she fell into an area with many trees, so there was no serious injury.

Ms. Lien added that at the time of the incident, she cried for help and tried to cling to the tree, but unfortunately fell down a bit more and fainted. When she woke up, she continued to cry for help but because the point of falling was too deep, while the weather these days in the area was windy and rainy, no one heard.

At 9:15 on May 3, after 7 days of falling into the abyss, due to the weather no longer raining, the wind also decreased, so the management forces heard Ms. Lien’s cry for help and coordinated to organize the search.

The woman was saved 7 days after falling into the cliff.

According to the search force, Ms. Lien survived because she brought some rice cakes and bottled water, in addition, Ms. Lien also ate the ferns around to wait for people to come to rescue.

Mr. Le Tien Dung – Head of Yen Tu National Forest and Monuments Management Board – said: “This is a rare event, the victim miraculously survived 7 days after falling into the cliff, while the weather was very bad, raining and windy. As soon as the victim was rescued, we performed first aid and bring the victim down the mountain safely”.
