When do you need to replace your phone charger?

Many people do not pay attention to the set phone charger their intelligence and use it “mercilessly”, day in and day out. Little do they realize that, like any other device, it has a limited lifespan, after which it needs to be replaced. But how do you know when it’s time to replace your old charger with a new one?

Here are some signs you need to replace your charger:

Can’t charge phone

When the charger is plugged into the phone and it doesn’t charge, try unplugging it and plugging it back in properly or plug the charger into another outlet. If your phone charger has stopped charging completely and there is no sign of wire damage, you will most likely have to have it replaced. Usually when the charging cable breaks, you need to buy a new one instead of trying to repair it.

Slow phone charging

Usually, the main cause of a slow phone charging is a faulty or damaged charging cord. However, if the cable is new or in good condition, the problem may be with the charger. You can check if the cable is still working by using it with another adapter that works perfectly. If it works, you will need a new charger. If not, you will need a new cable.

The USB port in the charger is broken

While this rarely happens, if you repeatedly remove the cable from the adapter to use it elsewhere, the USB port in the charger can loosen over time and lead to a loose connection. Even if you try a new cable, it may not establish a stable and secure connection and may not charge your phone at all.
