Flights VJ159 and VJ161 departed from Noi Bai airport to Tan Son Nhat and had to land at Cam Ranh airport.
Three flights including VJ385 from Phu Cat airport (Binh Dinh), VN7143 from Da Nang airport and VN261 from Noi Bai airport to Tan Son Nhat had to land at Buon Ma Thuot airport.
After the weather at Tan Son Nhat airport improved, flights took off and landed normally again.
This afternoon, bad weather also affected the operation, causing a series of flights from localities to Tan Son Nhat airport to be delayed.
According to the aviation operation plan on May 3, the end of the 4-day holiday from April 30 to May 1, Tan Son Nhat airport will operate 650 flights. The number of passengers continued to be maintained at a high level with 100,480 people.
