‘After Real Madrid, I will retire’

A few days ago, Real Madrid officially crowned the 35th La Liga champion in the club’s history. Most recently, in an Amazon Prime Video interview, the Italian military leader could not let his emotions settle after that historic championship. However, the former Chelsea captain also shared his plans after leaving Real Madrid.

“Yes, to be honest, after Real Madrid, I will retire. That is my decision but I will still stick with this club if they still need me. Even the team wants me to stay for another 10 years, I’m still willing to accompany them for another 10 years!” – The 62-year-old military leader expressed his love for Los Blancos.

In addition, Carlo did not hesitate to share the reason why he wanted to retire: “I want to spend more time with my grandchildren, to spend time with my wife more often. There are so many things I want to do but I have to put them on hold.”

“There are still many places that I haven’t been to. I’ve never been to Australia, never been around in Rio de Janeiro. I want to visit my sister more often. It’s a pity that I don’t now. there are many opportunities to do that. However, after retiring, that’s definitely what I’m aiming for.”

In the match that decided Real’s championship, they only needed to draw with Espanyol to be crowned, but Real could do more than that at the Bernabeu with the second team. 21-year-old striker Rodrygo Goes on the day of replacing Vinicius Junior on the left shone with a brace. After Asensio and Karim Benzema also scored in the second half to seal a 4-0 victory.

After that match, Benzema and his teammates threw coach Carlo Ancelotti into the sky after the final whistle. Real’s championship makes Ancelotti the first coach to win all five of Europe’s top leagues (England Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1). No coach has even won four of the five tournaments mentioned above.
