Billionaire thief who broke into Nhat Kim Anh’s house received 18 years in prison

Nguyen Thai Son committed seven thefts of up to 10 billion VND, including singer Nhat Kim Anh.

On the afternoon of May 4, after many days of deliberation, the People’s Court of Ho Chi Minh City sentenced Nguyen Thai Son (born in 1985) to 18 years in prison for property theft. The defendant is the one who committed seven thefts of up to 10 billion VND, including singer Nhat Kim Anh.

The accomplice in the robbery of the singer’s house, defendant Tran Minh Thang was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the court.

Female defendant Tran Thi Nha Trang (born 1986) was sentenced to five years in prison by the court for consuming property obtained by other people’s crimes.

The trial panel found that the contradictions raised by the lawyer’s request to return the dossier saying that Son did not commit the thefts were groundless. Defendant Son was not forced to bow, bow and torture. At the same time, defendant Son himself also admitted that he carried out the thefts accused by the Procuracy in court.

Defendant Trang is raising a small child, paying back the illegal profit of 300 million VND, so the court favors him to enjoy the lowest penalty frame.

Previously, the representative of the Procuracy proposed to sentence Son 18-20 years in prison for seven thefts, and Thang 12-14 years in prison. Defendant Trang proposed to be punished under the framework with a sentence of 5-6 years in prison.

Defending defendant Son, the lawyer stated 12 points of the case that there were procedural violations, requested to return additional investigation files…

Profile shows Son and Thang as friends. On the afternoon of July 14, 2019, Son invited Thang to Camelia residential park (Binh Hung commune, Binh Chanh district) with the purpose of stealing property.

Here, these two people came to the house of singer Nhat Kim Anh (real name Do Thi Kim Hue). After discussing, Thang stood outside the realm, Son broke into the interior to take out many properties, including a diamond ring, 100 taels of gold, 400 million dong…

After successfully stealing the above property, Son gave Thang 400 million VND. In addition, Son asked his acquaintance Trang to sell 100 taels of gold.

Although she knew it was stolen property, Trang did not hesitate to help. Specifically, Trang sold the above gold for 3.9 billion VND. After receiving the money, Son gave Trang 100 million VND.

The total property of the two thieves at the house of singer Nhat Kim Anh is worth nearly 4.6 billion VND.

On October 16, 2019, all subjects were urgently arrested by the police.

During the investigation, Son confessed that he had participated in six other property theft cases with a property value of more than 5 billion VND.

Along with that, Son and Thang both confessed that they used stolen money to gamble.
