Discovering something special in China’s giant gold mine
An international team of scientists has discovered that a huge gold mine on a crater in northern China was formed by liquid magma mixed with rainwater. This is a completely different process from gold formation in other parts of the world.
While gold mines usually form billions of years ago, the huge gold mines in China only formed about 120-140 million years ago.
The above group of scientists includes researchers from the China University of Geosciences, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the University of Wisconsin – Madison (USA) and the German Geological Research Center.
The researchers say their findings could help with the search for gold resources by identifying areas that suggest magmatic activities originating from the past mantle-forming of cavitation rock similar to those found in the mouth Northern China Volcano
(According to SCMP/VOV)
As of May 31, 2020, the original ore reserves were estimated at about 540 million tons with an average gold volume of 2.3 grams/ton. This is equivalent to 40 million ounces of gold.
