India: Going to denounce “green beard love”, the victim was raped by the police again

NDTV radio on May 4 said the head of the police station in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh state – India, Mr. Tilakdhari Saroj, was arrested on charges of raping the girl mentioned above.

The victim, 13, went to the police station in Lalitpur with a relative to report that four men gang raped her.

The girl’s father on May 3 said that his daughter was lured by four men and brought to Bhopal on April 22, where he raped her for four days.

They then took the girl back to her village and abandoned her near the police station in Lalitpur before escaping. The girl was handed over by the police to her aunt.

The next day, when the girl and her aunt came to file a complaint, she was taken into a room by Mr. Saroj in the presence of her aunt and raped her. This aunt was also named as a suspect in the rape case.

Police in Lalitpur confirmed Mr Saroj had been arrested and charged with rape. “An NGO brought the girl to my office. The girl provided details. After receiving the information, an investigation was launched,” Lalitpur Police Chief Nikhil Pathak said. .
