Carscoops just had the opportunity to experience the “near complete” version of the Mazda CX-60 2022, and make initial comments about the all-new SUV line.
Driving the SUV on a 100 km journey along the coast of Portugal, this newspaper immediately recognized two major weaknesses of the car they used. The driver support features on the Mazda CX-60 2022 are evaluated quite fully and with quality. The screen comes with a 360-degree camera with good resolution, the adaptive Cruise Control system capable of reading signs or the self-driving/accelerating/braking support system in traffic jams are all pluses for the car.
The 2.87-meter wheelbase of the Mazda CX-60 2022 provides ample space in all seating positions. The minimalist design style is generally quite good, while the quality and construction materials are both good (although maybe not as excellent as traditional luxury car manufacturers). The luggage compartment volume defaults to 570 liters and increases to a maximum of 1,726 liters when the rear seats are folded.
The car seat system is ergonomically optimized, not to mention a customizable system for the driver’s convenience. Just register the height with the vehicle and this system will find the user the most optimal sitting position thanks to the image transmitted from a camera inside the cabin (also equipped with the driver’s drowsiness warning system / distraction). The position of the steering wheel, mirror, HUD screen and also the audio / air conditioner are also adjusted accordingly.
A rather unfortunate point on the Mazda CX-60 2022 is that the center screen cannot be controlled via touch operation but uses an adjustment knob, although both screens in the dashboard (with digital dashboard) ) have a size of 12.3 inches which is still a plus point to pull back.
All in all, Carscoops gives the Mazda CX-60 2022 a score of 8 out of 10, not so excellent as a true luxury car, but respectable for its efforts and achievements.
