Patient complains of appendicitis but clinic diagnoses poisoning

Before that, on the morning of May 1, patient VQC (25 years old, living in Buon Ma Thuot City) went to Nguyen Dung General Clinic (No. 48, Phan Chu Trinh, Buon Ma Thuot City) for examination because of abdominal pain.

Here, the doctor diagnosed Mr. C. poisoning, prescribed medicine for him to take home. By the afternoon of the same day, the patient had a fever, pain and could not walk, so he went to Thien Hanh General Hospital (Buon Ma Thuot City) and was hospitalized and was diagnosed with appendicitis, now having surgery, stable health.

The representative of this clinic admitted: “Obviously there are technical and human limitations. Why don’t people take a closer look at the appendix” and said that they had visited and apologized to patient C.

Similarly, on the morning of May 5, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan (living in Ea Bhok commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province) said that he had sent an application to the authorities requesting to handle the responsibility with the Hospital of Buon Medicine and Pharmacy University Hospital. Ma Thuot about his wife’s broken ribs during a cesarean section here, but the hospital did not accept responsibility.

According to Mr. Tuan, on April 9, he took his wife to the Hospital of Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy and was assigned to have a caesarean section, and was discharged on April 14. A few days later, his wife complained that the pain was too much, so she took it to a check-up and discovered that her 8th rib was broken.

Meanwhile, a representative of Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital denied the accusations and said that the pregnant woman ordered a delivery service in the family room, and Tuan was in the operating room when giving birth.

Frustrated by the above cases, the patient’s family members and the pregnant woman accused the doctors and nurses of being irresponsible.
