Finally, after many days of renovation, Thuy Duong also has a kitchen with an area of 65 square meters that she desires. Ms. Duong drew every nook and cranny to explain to the architect, then how to change the height and length.
“It took me 2 months to build this kitchen and the number of times of fixing things is countless, painting and repainting, drilling, patching and then drilling again.
Because their designs are so special and they don’t have certain measurements. Everything must be calculated based on the usage habits and real needs of the family. For example, the cabinet in the kitchen is too high because the ceiling is 3.2m, I removed it and repaired it 3 times. Although it’s hard, when it’s formed, I feel it’s worth it“.

Before I came to rent this room, the wall color was dark and lack of light, so I fixed the whole thing to white tone. The interior is for that reason only white and gray. Thuy Duong likes bright houses like scandinavian style, so she also has to go everywhere to collect a little bit of each place to fit together.

Use expensive but sustainable materials and be more conscious of keeping things. “Sometimes I go to Korea to buy IKEA goods, sometimes I buy Muji, or else I order Chinese design goods, some of them sell beautiful Vietnamese goods, I pick them up again. Over time, it becomes a habit. Everywhere I go, I look at my clothes and imagine if it suits my house.

I’m not comfortable with drinking water next to the faucet, so I came up with a different way to drill straight into the rock. Then, if anyone comes to the house to play and wants to drink water, they do not have to stand back to give them water but still leisurely wash the vegetables next to them.
