A series of old Galaxy phones have been upgraded with good cameras like Galaxy S22-Hi-tech fashion

The photography features of the Galaxy S22 series are coming to older Galaxy phones.

Current Galaxy S22 launched with a host of new photography features, including better night shots thanks to the company’s “Nightography” software. Samsung and new effects for video calling. Now, the Korean brand is bringing some of these improvements to older phones.

Improved night portrait photography

Older Galaxy phones will get the same features as the new Galaxy S22 series.

The Galaxy S22 series is capable of taking night photos in Portrait Mode with the telephoto camera. And with Samsung’s software update in May, the feature will be added to flagships from 2020, including the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, and Galaxy Z Fold 3 .

Auto-framing function

Samsung’s auto-framing feature allows users to zoom in, zoom out, and pan around the frame. This feature works with up to 10 people standing up to 5m away from the device.

Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The feature is currently available on the Galaxy S22 series but will now be extended to the more recent Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 FE series. On top of that, the enhancements to this feature will roll out to Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and Galaxy Z Flip owners.

Video call effect upgrade

This feature allows Samsung owners to use custom backgrounds and control the microphone in the video calling app. Some of the supported apps include: Google Meet, Duo, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, Zoom and Messenger.

The Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 “families” with their respective Galaxy FE versions will soon receive support, followed by the Galaxy Note 20 series, all Galaxy Z Flip models as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Fold 3. Samsung has also committed to rolling out this feature to the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series by the end of June, along with the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite models.

And yet, Samsung is committed to expanding support for the auto-framing feature to video calls. This feature is applied to all Samsung flagships launched after 2020.

Improve the quality of the camera app on the App Store

The Galaxy S22 series features a special “image quality optimization technology” that applies to social apps and third-party camera apps. In other words, there won’t be a big difference in quality between photos taken on the Samsung camera app and photos taken via Snapchat or Instagram.

This optimization technology will soon appear on the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 series. Unfortunately, older devices like the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy S20 will not be supported.

Galaxy Z Fold 3’s camera features

Finally, Samsung will dedicate some tweaks designed specifically for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. After the May software update, the foldable smartphone will support the Expert RAW application. Pro – Pro mode is also being extended to the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s telephoto camera, providing users with more flexibility.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 also gets an upgraded camera.

Samsung has not released an exact schedule for the rollout of these features. However, the company has confirmed the update will first be available for the Galaxy S21 models before being rolled out to the rest of the products at the end of May. Some features will debut on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10. at the end of June.

Of course, Samsung will roll out the update program for its home market – Korea first, and then roll out the update to the international market.
