The accident happened at about 19:45 on the evening of May 5 at the Thu Duc market area on Kha Van Can StreetTruong Tho ward, Thu Duc city.
Tuoi Tre newspaper recorded initial information that the 7-seat car was driven by a male driver (about 40 years old) running on Kha Van Can street, from Linh Xuan overpass to Thu Duc market.
When the car had just turned right at the intersection of Duong Van Cam – Kha Van Can (bordering Linh Tay and Truong Tho wards), it suddenly rushed into the opposite lane, crashing into many motorbikes.
Not stopping, this car also increased the throttle and hit a house on Kha Van Can street and then backed up to hit many other motorbikes. The incident left four people seriously injured, lying on the road, calling for help.
About 10 motorbikes of all kinds were hit by cars. However, there were 6 cars with minor damage, so people left the scene by themselves, only 4 cars were broken and lying on the road at the scene.

Upon receiving the news, the traffic police force and the Thu Duc City Police (area 3) coordinated with the Truong Tho ward police to the scene to investigate and clarify the cause.
After causing the accident, the car driver left the scene, causing traffic jam in the area near Thu Duc market.
As noted by the reporter of the Labor Newspaper, up to 20:20, the police force was still blocking the scene waiting for the driver to present to move the 7-seat car from the scene.
