Export of agricultural products in 4 months reached nearly 18 billion USD

The report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shows that, 5 items with export value of over 1 billion USD are: coffee, rice, vegetables, shrimp and wood products. In which, the strongest increase was in coffee with an increase of over 59%.

The US is the largest export market of Vietnamese agricultural products, accounting for more than 27% market share. Seafood with two main export items, shrimp and pangasius, also experienced impressive growth. In which, shrimp exports reached over $1.3 billion, up 28.6% over the same period last year.

In May, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development continued to provide quick information on prices, output and production and supply situation of agricultural products. Develop a plan to survey the consumption situation and develop the agricultural market in localities and border gates. Support localities and industries to organize events to promote agricultural products (lychee, molluscs, cassava, …), calling for investment.
