Philippines U23 captain confidently surpasses Vietnam to make history

SEA Games 31 is coming very close. Just over 1 day left, the first matches of Group A men’s football will officially take place. While U23 Vietnam will have to clash with a very strong team, U23 Indonesia Philippines U23 will face U23 East Timor.

Commenting on the opportunity at the upcoming 31st SEA Games, Philippines U23 captain – Stephan Schrock affirmed: “There are only a few days left until the opening match, so I’m very excited and excited. The whole team has had a thorough preparation for this opening match. I am completely confident in my ability. Young players are in the squad and I want this same generation of U23 players to make history at the SEA Games.

The entire team has made significant progress at the start of the campaign last October. Coach Norman has a fantastic career and experience as a player as well as a manager. He knew the intensity and the level of desire in us. I hope the whole team will do well on the pitch.”

The 31st SEA Games will also be the 2nd consecutive congress that Stephan Schrock participates in. This midfielder born in 1986 is considered the most experienced player to have ever played in the Bundesliga.

Currently, U23 Philippines is present in Vietnam and has had time to practice getting used to the weather and conditions in Phu Tho. On the afternoon of May 4, Stephan Schrock and his teammates had a visit to Viet Tri Stadium – the venue for group A matches in men’s football.

In this tournament, U23 Philippines is in the same group with U23 Vietnam, U23 Indonesia, U23 Myanmar and U23 East Timor. To be able to win tickets to the semi-finals, coach Norman Fegidero’s army will have to be careful every match.
