Toyota Fortuner 2022 launched, the highest price increase is 53 million VND

On May 4, Toyota Vietnam introduced Fortuner new version with changes in technology and entertainment, while the design remains the same. Currently, the SUV model assembles diesel versions 2.8 and 2.4, while gasoline engine 2.7 is imported. This upgrade only applies to diesel versions.

First, the rear fog lights, previously only available on Legender versions, are now updated to lower versions as well. JBL speakers are a new feature on Legender 2.4. Meanwhile, except for the 2.4 manual version, the remaining versions will all have two independent air conditioners. The final upgrade in comfort is smartphone connectivity (Apple CarPlay, Android Auto) which will be available on the two low 2.4 versions.

In terms of safety technology, the blind-spot warning system and rear cross-traffic alert are two new highlights, installed on three versions, 2.8 Legender, 2.8 normal and 2.4 Legender.

According to the plan, Toyota Fortuner 2022 will be sold from May 4, priced from VND 1,015 billion to VND 1,467 billion, with 7 versions. Below is the price list of Fortuner 2022 compared to the old version. Fortuner 2022 increases the price from 19-53 million VND depending on the version. The two versions of the imported gasoline engine 2.7 also increased in price, although there were no new upgrades.

Toyota’s 7-seater SUV is located in the D-segment SUV segment, possessing a separate chassis structure similar to rivals such as Ford Everest, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Isuzu mu-X. The price range, size and number of seats Fortuner are more competitive with products with seamless chassis such as Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento, Mazda CX-8″.

At the end of the first quarter, Fortuner sold 2,032 cars, rival Everest sold 709 cars and Pajero Sport sold 488 cars. Meanwhile, crossovers of the same size D as Santa Fe sold 3,087 units, Sorento sold 1,289 units and CX-8 sold 1,212 units.
