Two businesses that won the Thu Thiem land auction broke their promise to pay 100 billion dong

At the end of May 4, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department confirmed that the two winning land auctions in Thu Thiem New Urban Area, Dream Republic Joint Stock Company and Sheen Mega Joint Stock Company, have not yet paid land use fees.

Previously, out of more than 7,800 billion VND to be paid, these two companies made a written commitment to the competent authorities to pay 100 billion VND in advance to the budget before April 30, to show their determination to implement the project. judgment. However, up to now, Dream Republic Joint Stock Company and Sheen Mega Joint Stock Company have not yet fulfilled this commitment.

The Tax Department of Ho Chi Minh City said it had sent notices to these two businesses about the amount of land use levy that must be paid in the first phase to the state budget before May 6. After this time limit, the tax authority will apply coercive measures as prescribed by law because the land use fee payment time limit is over 90 days.

At the end of 2021, Dream Republic Joint Stock Company won the auction of land lot number 3-5 (area of ​​6,446 square meters). This enterprise has to pay 3,820 billion dong of land use fee and 500 million dong of registration fee. Sheen Mega Joint Stock Company won the auction of land lot number 3-8 (area of ​​8,568.1 square meters) and had to pay 4,000 billion VND for land use.

According to the Tax Department of Ho Chi Minh City, based on the contract signed by the enterprise and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City with a maximum term of 180 days (the latest is July 6), if the two winning land auction businesses do not pay money, they will lose their number. deposits.
