The email name impersonating the MoMo wallet has a variety of structures, for example [email protected] or [email protected] (XXX is other keywords) or other gmail ending emails to create trust. The email contains a Google Form link, asking users to access and provide MoMo wallet information to receive the gift package.
MoMo confirmed that the above behavior is a scam to appropriate money in customers’ e-wallets. Users should ignore if they receive e-mails with similar content and absolutely do not click on links or provide any login information other than the MoMo e-wallet application.
To avoid being scammed, MoMo advises customers not to provide password and authentication code (OTP) of MoMo wallet to anyone, including MoMo employees in any way.
