Witness “accused” Johnny Depp of controlling ex-wife’s clothes

According to Sky NewsDuring the hearing on May 4, Dr Dawn Hughes – a forensic psychologist specializing in domestic violence confirmed that Amber Heard suffered a lot of trauma because of Johnny Depp’s abuse, including his even control what his ex-wife wears when going out.

Dawn Hughes was the first witness called to defend Heard, which began after Johnny Depp’s legal team finished presenting evidence on May 3. This specialist conducted additional interviews and forensic tests, as well as consulted medical records while diagnosing Amber Heard’s psychological condition.

Dawn Hughes determined the emotional and physical abuse allegations reported by Amber Heard were accurate. The female expert confirmed that Johnny Depp abused his ex-wife, reflected in actions such as trying to control Amber Heard’s clothes or career choice.

“It’s important to look at all the actions in this relationship, not just looking at the beatings and yelling, but also how much he hurt Amber Heard. Looking at control, obsession with jealousy. Jealousy, possessiveness, sexual violence, intimidation as I have mentioned are all very important and common in cases of fatal domestic violence,” Dawn Hughes said.

Shannon Curry, a clinical psychologist was referred by Johnny Depp’s legal team as an expert witness. This person has previously denied that Amber Heard has PTSD. Curry diagnosed Amber Heard with gender identity disorder, which Dawn Hughes denied.

Amber Heard’s witnesses testified in court that the actress took more drugs, had more panic attacks and outbursts after marrying Johnny Depp. She called Johnny Depp’s drug use and domestic violence “very, very damaging”. She further shared that Amber Heard lost 11kg because of her husband’s abuse.

Amber Heard’s complaint lists Johnny Depp’s side as repeatedly defaming when giving evidence and witnesses. The waiver application also lists several violations of the Virginia computer law, including the prohibition of “camera harassment.”
