Long An: Expected to develop another 6.8 million m2 of housing in 2022

According to statistics, currently, in the province of Long An, there are more than 250 projects, corresponding to nearly 7,000 hectares, which have been approved for investment policies, have been and are about to be deployed, in which, concentrated in many areas. the districts of Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Can Giuoc, Can Duoc, Thu Thua, Tan An city.

However, according to the Department of Construction of Long An, housing, housing development projects, residential projects in the province still mainly focus on developing the type of adjacent houses, Villa low-rise. Recently, the development of apartment buildings in the province has not been paid much attention and has not been implemented much.

In 2022, Long An province is expected to have over 60,500 houses built, including: nearly 16,400 commercial houses; nearly 4,200 social housing houses; nearly 2,000 houses for workers; more than 2,500 houses for resettlement. The rest are houses built by people themselves. The average housing area in the whole province is 29.1 square meters per person.

It is expected that the capital demand for the housing development program in Long An province in 2022 is more than VND 41 trillion; in which, the investment capital to build commercial housing is nearly 16,500 billion dong. The private housing construction capital of the people is more than 21,300 billion VND. Construction capital of social housing is nearly 1,700 billion VND; construction of workers’ houses is nearly 520 billion VND and investment in resettlement housing is nearly 1,200 billion VND.

In addition, the province also encourages and supports housing, residential land and technical infrastructure to form concentrated population zones and clusters in remote and flooded areas. As for social housing and worker housing, localities in the province determine their needs, land fund and project scale to call for investment.

According to the housing development orientation of Long An province, the development of urban housing will be associated with urban development in parallel with the province’s socio-economic development master plan. Housing developed according to projects with synchronous technical and social infrastructure. In new urban areas, planning must be done first to manage construction, contributing to gradually embellishing the urban area towards civilization and modernity.

In rural areas, housing development is associated with the common goal of new rural construction; harmoniously combining housing development, new residential areas with embellishment of existing houses and infrastructure, ensuring ecological environment. In particular, encourage and support housing, residential land and technical infrastructure to form concentrated population quarters and clusters in remote and flooded residential areas. As for social housing and worker housing, localities in the province determine their needs, land fund and project scale to call for investment.
