An unnamed man living in Guangzhou is becoming the center of attention social network China thanks to hard work cooking for his wife. He sees this as a way to show affection and keep the relationship romantic.

Every day, before his wife (last name Xu) went to work, he asked her what she wanted for dinner to prepare. Sometimes, the husband surprises the other half with new things he has just learned, according to South China Morning Post.

“It’s been over a year since we met, I’m so lucky to be married to him. My husband is so passionate about cooking, he tries to make me epic meals every day.” Xu said.

In the videos circulating online, Xu’s husband cooks many delicious dishes such as egg noodles, sausages, sweet chili fried pork, steamed sweet potatoes, vegetable soup, and fried chicken.

“My cooking skills are not as good as my husband’s, but I also want to learn every day to cook for him again. The two will improve together.”

The story of the Xu couple also created a lively discussion on the social network Weibo with 3.98 million hits, more than 5,000 comments.

The debate revolves around whether society should celebrate husbands and the recognition of gender roles in marriage.

Many netizens also expressed their jealousy of the couple’s relationship.
